Privacy policy

What personal data we process on bs-clan.com and on the BlackSide Clan game server, why, for how long and how to exercise your rights.

What data we process

If you play on our server, the game itself provides: your SteamID, in-game name, faction, kills, deaths, weapons and distances, the matches you play and your join/leave times with ping. We also fetch your public Steam avatar.

If you visit the website: the technical logs any web server produces (IP address, browser, requested page and date) and, if you switch language, that preference stored in your browser. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking profiles.

If staff moderate your behaviour on the server: warnings, kicks and bans with their reason and, where relevant, screenshots of the incident.

Purposes and legal basis

Public stats and leaderboard (name, avatar, kills, K/D, matches): legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in offering the community the stats of a public server. This is game data linked to your public Steam identity.

Moderation and fair play (connection log, warnings, kicks and bans): legitimate interest in keeping the server safe and enforcing its rules. This data is not published: only staff can see it in a private panel.

Running and securing the website (technical logs): legitimate interest in protecting the service from abuse.

Remembering your language: you asked for it by choosing it.

How long we keep it

Game stats: for as long as the leaderboard exists, unless you object (see "Your rights").

Staff console event log: 7 days. Web server technical logs: 14 days.

Connection log and sanctions: as long as needed to moderate the server (e.g. to spot someone returning after a ban).

Who else may access it

OVH (France, EU), which hosts the web server.

Cloudflare, which protects and speeds up the website; it may process your IP outside the EU under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Valve (Steam): player avatars and news images are loaded from Steam servers, so your browser connects to them when showing those images.

YouTube (Google), only if you click to play a video in a news post.

We do not sell or share data with anyone else, unless required by law.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object to appearing on the public leaderboard. Email [email protected] with your SteamID; we will reply within one month. To confirm the account is yours we may ask you to message us from it in game or on Discord.

If you think we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or your local authority.

Children

Steam and WARDOGS set their own minimum age. We do not ask anyone for data: we only process what the game generates when playing on the server.
